The member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem who also doubles as the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon George Mireku Duker has lauded President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for the transformative feat chalked in the mining sector.
Contributing to the post-SONA debate on the floor of parliament, the deputy minister emphasized that the country has gained a first position on the continent in the production of gold which was initially held by South Africa. This, he attributed to the good works of the president.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South, Hon. George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan- Hagan has expressed his displeasure with the rate at which the president borrowed with little to account for.
According to him, the government of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo received monies including the borrowed ones totaling over one trillion Ghana cedis in seven years but with a little job done.
