11 Disciplines, One Goal, Team Ghana Departs for Maiden African Schools Games in Algeria.

Team Ghana has departed to Algeria to compete in the maiden edition of African Schools Games, which will officially start from July 26 to August 5, 2025 in Algeria.

This games will encamp young and potential athletes from the African continent to compete with each other, celebrate the sports, unearth talent, and form unity among themselves.

Team Ghana will compete in the major sporting disciplines, showcasing the country’s top talents and rich potential with high stake on boxing.

Cities in Algeria that will host the games are Annaba, Skikda, Constantine, and Setif with world class facilities available for the athletes to use.

Under the guidance of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the African Union Sports Council, the game seek to promote youth development, unearth talents, promote unity through the games.

The athletes are expected to compete with a lot of enthusiasm, passion, coordinate with each other and be discipline in their sport with the aim of raising their country’s flag high.
