Anglican Diocese of Accra Congratulates Her Ladyship Justice Sophia Rosetta Bernasko Essah On Her Nomination As Justice of The Supreme Court

The Anglican Diocese of Accra congratulates Her Ladyship Justice Sophia Rosetta Bernasko Essah (Chancellor – Anglican Diocese of Accra) on her nomination as Justice of the Supreme Court by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Judicial Council approved the learned Justice of the Court of Appeal, Her Ladyship Justice Sophia Rosetta Bernasko Essah and her co-nominee the learned Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Sciences, Professor of Law and legal academic Prof. Richard Frimpong Oppong and for the Supreme Court Bench.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, announced the approval during the inauguration of the Governing Board of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre on Monday, 16th July 2024.

In a congratulatory message on behalf of the Diocesan and the entire Diocese, the Diocesan Secretary, Rev’d Canon Ebenezer Jones-Okai noted that Justice Sophia’s nomination to the supreme court was attained through her ‘hardwork, steady mind, positive aspiration and steadfast pursuit of excellent qualities’.

In conclusion, Canon Jones-Okai admonished her to emulate qualities such as firmness, fairness and straightforwardness in her new role.
