The former Finance Minister C has been declared wanted by the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
This follows his refusal to appear before the OSP on June 2, 2025 on suspected cases of corruption and corruption related offences. The former minister was expected to attend the OSP on February 10,2025 for an interview on cases in which he is a suspect however was out of the country by the aforementioned date.
Mr. Ofori-Atta through his legal representatives informed the OSP on his unavailability due to his medical condition hence his name was removed from the wanted list on of the OSP on February 18, 2025.His legal representatives said Mr. Ken Ofori Atta will voluntarily return and appear before the OSP on June 2, 2025, however this promise was not honored.
For this reason, the former minister’s name has been re-instated in the list of wanted person and the processes for an INTERPOL Red Notice has been initiated, aiming to secure his arrest and extradition.
Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng on June 2,2025 said; ” No person regardless of title, regardless of status, regardless of medical condition is beyond the reach of enquiry by the OSP”.
