NDC Vows To Engage In Responsible Borrowing, Won’t Increase Debt Burden

Government has assured Ghanaians that it will not engage in reckless borrowing to increase the country’s debt burden.

According to the Finance Minister, Ato Forson, speaking in Parliament today, the NDC (the ruling party) is committed to responsible borrowing and will prioritize prudent management of the country’s finances.

This statement comes amid concerns over Ghana’s rising debt levels, which have sparked debates about the government’s borrowing habits.

The NDC’s commitment to responsible borrowing is likely to be closely watched by Ghanaians, who are eager to see a more sustainable approach to managing the country’s finances.

It’s worth noting that the issue of borrowing has been a contentious one in Ghanaian politics, with the NDC and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) having differing views on the matter.

While the NPP has accused the NDC of reckless borrowing in the past, the NDC has argued that its borrowing was necessary to invest in critical infrastructure projects
