The President of the National Association of Registered Midwives, Ghana (NARM-GH), Mrs. Leticia Asaaba Atiah has made a heartfelt appeal to the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) to consider the plight of pregnant women amidst their ongoing strike.
The NARM-GH President’s plea comes as the GRNMA’s industrial action has left many pregnant women without access to essential healthcare services.
The President emphasized the vulnerability of pregnant women and the potential risks they face without proper medical attention.
“We urge the GRNMA to consider the welfare of pregnant women and ensure that they receive the necessary care during this critical period,” the NARM-GH President stated.
The NARM-GH President’s appeal highlights the importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of pregnant women, even in the midst of industrial action.
The association remains committed to advocating for the rights and interests of midwives while ensuring that the healthcare needs of vulnerable populations are addressed.
