Integrate Planting for Foods and Jobs into 24HR Economy Program – Deputy NDC Communication Officer Urges Government

By Mensah Maxwell

In an exclusive interview on ADOA TV’s Ghana Mpuntuo show, hosted by Maxwell Mensah on July 7th, 2025, Isaac Amoah, Deputy NDC Communication Officer for the Shama Constituency, called on the government to integrate the Planting for Foods and Jobs (PFJ) initiative into the newly launched 24HR economy program.

According to Amoah, incorporating PFJ into the 24HR economy program would enhance the country’s food security, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.

He emphasized that the PFJ initiative has been successful in increasing food production and reducing imports, and integrating it into the 24HR economy program would further boost its impact.

“The 24HR economy program aims to promote economic growth and development, and integrating PFJ into it would be a strategic move,” Amoah stated.

“It would not only ensure food security but also create employment opportunities for our youth and stimulate economic growth,” he added.

Amoah also commended the government for launching the 24HR economy program, describing it as a “step in the right direction.”

However, he cautioned that its success depends on effective implementation and coordination among stakeholders.

The 24HR economy program, launched recently, aims to promote economic growth and development by extending business hours and promoting a 24-hour economy.

The Ghana Mpuntuo show on ADOA TV provides a platform for discussions on national issues, politics, and development.
