In a bid to curb reckless driving and promote road safety, the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) is set to enroll tracking devices on all vehicles, including commercial buses popularly known as “Trotro,” according to Road Safety Expert Ruben Adjetey.
Adjetey, a Planning Officer of the NRSA, made this revelation during an appearance on the Ghana Mpuntuo show on ADOA TV this afternoon.
The show, hosted by Mensah Maxwell, focused on road safety and the measures being taken to reduce accidents on Ghanaian roads.
“The NRSA is committed to using technology to monitor and prevent reckless driving,” Adjetey explained.
“The tracking devices will enable us to monitor speeding, traffic regulation violations, and other forms of reckless driving in real-time.”
This innovative approach is expected to significantly reduce the number of road accidents in Ghana, which have claimed countless lives and left many more injured.

The NRSA’s efforts to promote road safety have been ongoing, but the introduction of tracking devices marks a major escalation in the fight against reckless driving.
The Ghana Mpuntuo show on ADOA TV provides a platform for experts and stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting Ghanaian society.
Today’s show highlighted the importance of road safety and the measures being taken to address this pressing concern.
