A Visit of Condolence and Prayer at the Presidency

A delegation from the Anglican Church of Ghana led by the Most Rev’d Dr Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith (Archbishop) joined the Ghana Catholic Conference of Bishops led by His Eminence Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson with other Prophets to pay a visit to H.E. John Dramani Mahama (President of the Republic of Ghana) to offer condolences the Government of Ghana and the by extension the families of the eight(8) gallant men who sadly lost their lives whiles on duty serving our dear Nation in an helicopter crash a week ago.

Prayers were offered to the President and his family, the Government of Ghana, and the bereaved families that they may find comfort in these difficult times.

The Anglican delegation included the Rt. Rev’d Dr. Daniel S.M Torto (Bishop of Accra), Rt. Rev’d Dr. George Kotei Neequaye (Bishop of Tema), Rt. Rev’d Dr. George Dawson-Amoah (Bishop of Nkoranza), Venerable Maj. Ebenezer Laryea – RTD. (Archdeacon of Accra North-East), Venerable Anthony M. Eiwuley (Provincial Secretary Church of the Province of West Africa), Mr. Reginald Frimpong Ansah-Adjaye (Director of International Relations – IpG & Diocese of Accra), Mr. Reginald Pepsival Robertson (Youth and Children’s Coordinator – Internal Province of Ghana) and Mr. Francis Boye (Anglican Diocese of Accra)

The President expressed warmest appreciation to the delegation and call for continued prayer for the country.
