Theme: One Voice, One Mission: Reigniting Evangelism and Discipleship Across the Province
The Internal Province of Ghana of the Anglican Communion successfully held its 2025 House of Bishops and Wives Retreat and Meeting at Sogakofe. The event, which brought together bishops and their spouses from across the Province, was convened by the Most Rev’d Dr. Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, Archbishop of the Internal Province of Ghana.
Centered on the theme “One Voice, One Mission: Reigniting Evangelism and Discipleship Across the Province,” the retreat provided a sacred space for reflection, fellowship, renewal, and strategic dialogue on the future of evangelism and discipleship within the Province.

Distinguished Facilitators
This year’s retreat featured key facilitators from across the Anglican Communion and the wider Christian community:
- The Rt. Rev’d Alyosous Agbo, Bishop of Nsukka (Church of Nigeria – Anglican Communion)
- The Rt. Rev’d Prof. Dapo Asaju, Bishop Theologian (Church of Nigeria – Anglican Communion)
- Elder Amos Kevin-Annan, renowned counselor and minister from the Church of Pentecost, Ghana
Their presentations and teachings addressed spiritual leadership, theological depth, and practical approaches to reigniting passion for mission and discipleship in today’s complex world.

Strategic Presentations and Ministry Reports
As part of the House of Bishops’ official meeting sessions, presentations were delivered by key leaders from the Province, including:
- Provincial Evangelism and Missions Coordinator
- Director of International Relations
- Provincial Youth and Children’s Coordinator
- Coordinator of the Health Desk
These reports and strategic inputs served to update the House on current initiatives and to chart forward-looking plans for growth, outreach, and holistic ministry across the Province.
A Time of Unity and Renewal
The retreat fostered a spirit of unity, shared mission, and deeper commitment to the call of Christ. Bishops and their spouses were refreshed and empowered to return to their dioceses with renewed vigor to serve, evangelize, and disciple in their various contexts.
The Internal Province of Ghana continues to prioritize mission, discipleship, and holistic ministry as core pillars of its life and witness—guided by the Holy Spirit and rooted in the Anglican tradition.
