The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces, has arrested more than 300 suspects in an ongoing joint security operation across parts of the Ahafo Region.
The coordinated exercise covers communities including Hwidiem, Kenyasi, Goaso, and Mehame and is aimed at combating crime, maintaining public order, and ensuring community safety.

Police sources described the operation as progressing smoothly, with no major incidents reported. Initial updates indicated about 30 arrests, but the figure has since risen as the exercise intensifies.

Authorities said further details, including profiles of the suspects and the specific offences involved, will be released as the operation continues.
The security operation underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement and enhancing public safety in the region.
