Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured the Ghanaian Community Association in Luanda, Angola, that their request for easier access to Ghana Card registration services will receive urgent attention.
The appeal was made during a visit by a government delegation led by the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, as part of ongoing engagements with Ghanaian communities abroad.
Speaking on Wednesday, November 26, Ablakwa stressed that the concerns raised by the community would be treated as a priority, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving services for citizens living outside Ghana.
He further revealed that a similar request from Ghanaians in Nigeria—for a Ghana Card printing machine and enhanced consular support—had already been addressed, demonstrating the government’s responsiveness to diaspora needs.
“I want to assure the leadership of the Ghanaian community that I have listened attentively to all the matters you have raised, and as soon as I return to the Ministry, I will take immediate action,” Ablakwa said.
The visit forms part of broader efforts to strengthen engagement with Ghanaians abroad and ensure they have access to critical national services regardless of where they reside.
