The Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, has held a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari.

The meeting took place in Accra on Tuesday, December 16, and was attended by the Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Aghabekian, as well as Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson.


Ambassador Al Sattari is concluding eleven years of diplomatic service in Ghana. During the meeting, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang commended him for his professionalism, consistency, and dedication to duty, noting his significant contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Ghana and Palestine.

The Vice President expressed the Government of Ghana’s appreciation for the ambassador’s efforts in promoting cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries. She wished him well in his future endeavours and expressed confidence that the cordial relations he helped to foster would continue to endure.
The farewell engagement underscored the strong diplomatic ties between Ghana and the State of Palestine and reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to sustaining and deepening their longstanding relationship.
