The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has been discharged from 37 Military Hospital after receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident, his office has confirmed.
In a statement issued on Saturday, February 14, 2026, and signed by his Press Secretary, Hashmin Mohammed, the Minister was said to have responded well to medical care and has since been released to continue his recovery at home.
Mr. Iddrisu was involved in the accident alongside the Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Mohammed Adams Sukparu. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, February 12, along the Bolgatanga–Tumu road.
According to the statement, the Minister is in good condition and has been advised to take adequate rest as he recuperates. He also conveyed his gratitude to the medical team and members of the public for their prayers and support.
“Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has been discharged and is recovering steadily. We appreciate the dedication of the medical staff and the goodwill shown by the public,” the statement noted.
