President John Dramani Mahama has sworn into office Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong as the substantive Chief Fire Officer and Samuel Basintale Amadu as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Presidency, formally ushered the two officials into their respective leadership roles at the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Immigration Service.

As Chief Fire Officer, Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong will oversee fire prevention strategies, public safety education, and emergency response operations nationwide. Her appointment marks a historic milestone, as she becomes the first woman to head the Ghana National Fire Service.
Ntow Sarpong was appointed on March 24, 2025, after previously serving as Deputy Chief Fire Officer and Director of Fire Safety. In those roles, she earned recognition for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to strengthening fire safety standards across the country.

Meanwhile, Samuel Basintale Amadu, who was also appointed in March 2025, assumes responsibility for border management, migration control, and enforcement of immigration laws as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
Administering the oath of office, President Mahama charged the newly sworn-in officials to discharge their duties with professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of national service.
He emphasised the critical roles both institutions play in safeguarding lives and protecting Ghana’s borders, urging the new heads to build on existing reforms and enhance operational efficiency within their respective services.
