Manuel Darko, a communicator of the NPP, expressed his admiration for Ghana’s position as the fifth-best governed nation among the top ten in Africa. The 2023 World Economics Governance Index report has recognised Ghana as one of the top ten best-governed nations in Africa. Ghana has surpassed countries such as Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt, and Nigeria in terms of governance performance. Out of Africa’s 54 nations, Ghana’s impressive ranking places it alongside leading countries such as Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, and Botswana.

Ghana, which has been celebrating more than three decades of democracy under the fourth republic, is often hailed as a shining example of Democracy in the Sub-Saharan region.

This Manuel Darko described as a progressive praised but emphasized the importance of evidence-based accountability in tackling corruption. He highlighted that politicians often make baseless accusations against each other, which further highlights the need for concrete evidence to support such claims.

Darko suggests that those who suspect corruption should be willing to report offenders and provide evidence to support their allegations. His stance advocates for transparency and integrity within Ghana’s political landscape, aiming to effectively address corruption and promote good governance practices.
