In a groundbreaking move, the National Association of Registered Midwives, Ghana (NARM-GH) is set to introduce an educational welfare scheme to support its members.
This innovative initiative aims to provide financial assistance to midwives pursuing further education and professional development.
In an interview with Mensah Maxwell last week, President of NARM-GH, Mrs. Leticia Asaaba Atiah said the educational welfare scheme is designed to empower midwives to acquire new skills and knowledge, enhancing their professional practice and contributing to the overall improvement of maternal and child healthcare in Ghana.

“We recognize the importance of continuous learning and professional development in the field of midwifery. Our educational welfare scheme will provide financial support to our members, enabling them to pursue higher education and stay updated on the latest best practices in midwifery,” Mrs. Atiah explained in an interview.
The introduction of the educational welfare scheme is a significant milestone for NARM-GH, demonstrating the association’s commitment to the growth and development of its members.
By investing in the education and professional development of midwives, NARM-GH is poised to make a positive impact on the healthcare sector in Ghana.
Details of the educational welfare scheme, including eligibility criteria and application procedures, are expected to be announced soon.
Midwives and stakeholders in the healthcare sector are eagerly awaiting this development, which promises to elevate the profession and improve healthcare outcomes in Ghana.
