Ghana’s boxing prodigy, Ablorh Abdul Rahman, has qualified into the finals of the Men Lightweight (60kg) category at the First African School Games in Algeria.
In an entertaining semifinal bout, the young boxer displayed exceptional technical and tactical prowess against Namibia’s Leukes Mac-Million in a 3-2 split decision.
The bout, was one of the monitored one of the day, as both boxers held an unbeaten record.
Rahman, who has been one of the outstanding boxing performers in the Games
won over the judges with his combinations despite Mac-Million’s attempted comeback in the final round.
The young boxer’s win adds to the Black Rocket Ghana’s momentum to win Gold at the maiden edition of the African School Games, Athlete’s from the African Continent have encamp to showcase their talent.
Abdul Rahman will now face his final opponent with confidence of winning Gold in the boxing event for Team Ghana
