MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES REDUCTION IN 32-PAGE PASSPORT FEES FROM GHS500 TO GHS350.

Report by: Mensah Maxwell

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa today told Parliament that the application and processing of the 32-page passports is set to reduce from GHS500 to GHS350.

A reduction of GHS150 comes after the Minister has proposed the new fees to the August House.

The GHS500 fee of the passport was set by the previous government for several reasons, including discouraging citizens to seek greener pastures.

The Minister earlier today appeared before the house to answer questions regarding recent developments in the ministry and repatriation of Ghanaian citizens outside the country.
