Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Committed Drivers Association has boldly stated that its members will refuse to pay any road tolls, which are set to be reintroduced by the government.
Charles Danso, the National Chairman of the association, made this declaration during an interview on the #Ghanamputuo show last Wednesday.
“We won’t pay any road tolls,” Danso emphasized. “We can’t be paying tolls when the roads are in such a deplorable state.”
The government’s plan to reintroduce road tolls has been met with resistance from various stakeholders, including the Ghana Committed Drivers Association.

Danso questioned the government’s decision to reintroduce tolls, citing concerns over the lack of transparency in how toll revenues are utilized.
“What guarantee do we have that the monies collected from the tolls will be used to fix our roads?” Danso asked.
The reintroduction of road tolls is expected to generate significant revenue for the government, but it remains to be seen how the plan will be received by drivers and the general public.
