The Vilcabamba Table Tennis Club (VTTC) in the Volta Region is preparing to host the Chairman Tom’s Open Championships on August 16, 2025, in Denu. This event aims to foster the growth and popularity of table tennis and is anticipated to bring together more than 50 players from various parts of the country.
The championship will include multiple categories, such as boys and girls under 15, as well as youth male and female aged 12 and above. Competitions will take place at the Vilcabamba Hotel and the Center for National Culture (CNC) in Denu, Volta Region.
Mr. David Senyo Ahiaba, the primary organizer, stated that all essential arrangements have been made to guarantee the event’s success, including the venues and lodging. Interestingly, Mr. Thomas Kuenyefu, who serves as the chairman of the VTTC and also as the chairman of the Volta Regional Table Tennis Association, celebrates his birthday in August, making this championship an opportunity to honor him as well.
Participants who excel in their respective categories will be awarded cash prizes, trophies, T-shirts, and certificates.
