The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that its 2025 enlistment and recruitment exercise will officially commence in the coming days, with activities set to take place simultaneously across all 16 regional capitals.
In a press release issued on Monday, September 29, the GAF stated that this decentralised approach is aimed at providing equal opportunity for all eligible applicants, regardless of their location.
“The decentralised recruitment will ensure that qualified Ghanaians from all parts of the country have an equal chance to join the Armed Forces,” the statement noted.
The GAF emphasised that official information about the recruitment process will be communicated solely through its verified platforms, including the official Ghana Armed Forces website and reputable state-owned newspapers such as the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times.
In a strong caution to the public, the Armed Forces warned against fraudulent recruitment adverts and unofficial links circulating on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
“The general public is kindly informed that any purported recruitment links on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or any other social media platforms inviting people for protocol recruitment is a scam and should be ignored,” the statement said.
The GAF further clarified that no individual within the Armed Forces or its High Command is authorised to conduct or facilitate recruitment outside official channels.
“Additionally, no such enlistment or recruitment invitation will emanate from any member of the Ghana Armed Forces or its High Command and should be ignored as well.”
The Armed Forces is urging all prospective applicants and the general public to remain vigilant, avoid falling prey to recruitment scams, and rely only on trusted, official sources for information regarding the exercise.
The GAF reiterated its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process and called for public cooperation to uphold the integrity of the exercise.
