BGC, Evolve Seal Thrilling Wins in Week 6 of Ghana Cricket Division One League

Cricket fans witnessed pure drama at the Achimota Oval A on Sunday, October 26, 2025, as Balagi Group of Companies (BGC) and Evolve Cricket Club grabbed sensational victories in Week 6 of the Ghana Cricket Association Division One League.

BGC Won by a Single Run

In the opening game, BGC edged Maharashtra Mandal Ghana (MMG) by just one run in a match that went right down to the wire.

BGC, who batted first, set a total of 150 for 6, led by Joseph Kwame Theodore’s brilliant 50 off 44 balls, with support from Rohit Malik and Devender Singh.

MMG started strongly with Ishant Kumar (57) and Dinesh Butola (34) but lost momentum in the middle overs. With only 3 runs needed from the last 2 balls, BGC held their nerve as MMG’s last batter was run out attempting a risky double.

Theodore’s standout batting earned him the Player of the Match title as BGC moved top of the league with 6 points.

Evolve Fight Back to Beat Salt n Pepper

Evolve staged a stunning comeback to beat Salt n Pepper by 11 runs after a rocky start.

Despite losing early wickets and struggling at 7 for 6, Bernard Kotey (37) and Sanjay Pokhriyal (44) rebuilt the innings to post 100 for 9.

Salt n Pepper looked on course in the chase but collapsed under pressure, finishing at 89 all out, despite Elisha Frimpong’s 32 runs.

Vikram Kumar delivered a bowling masterclass with figures of 4.0-0-18-4, earning him the Player of the Match award.

Evolve now sit second on the table with 6 points from 4 games, while Salt n Pepper remain winless.
