Mr. William Boadi, who is Educationist and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Educate Africa Institute (EAI) has strongly condemned the recent incident of violence involving students of Swedru Senior High School.
Mr. William described the act as unfortunate and acceptable, where some students reportedly assaulting their fellow colleagues . he emphasized that the Educational Institutions are meant to be safe environments that promote, discipline and mutual respect.
He further referenced a similar incident that occurred not long ago at Kade Senior High School (SHS), where students assaulted their colleagues and were subsequently arrested. Expressing deep concerns. Mr. Boadi questions, “what is happening to the school”.
He emphasized that such behaviour does not reflect the value and standards expected within Educational Institutions. added that, while school enforce strict discipline, parents also have crucial roles to play.
And urged parents to close monitor, guide, and support their children. Instilling in them strong moral values and respect for others.
According to him, addressing students violence requires a collective effort from school authorities, parents and their wider community to restore order and protect the integrity of Ghana’s Educational System.
He calls on school authorities, parents and relevant stakeholders to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure appropriate disciplinary measures are taken .he further urged students to embrace peaceful conflict resolution and uphold the values of unity and tolerance within the school community.
