Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang Urges BECE Candidates to Remain Honest and Confident

Ghana’s Vice President, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has encouraged candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to approach the exams with integrity, confidence, and determination.

In a goodwill message issued on Monday, May 4, 2026, she expressed confidence in the preparedness of students across the country, noting that their years of academic training have adequately equipped them for the task ahead.

Speaking on behalf of the government, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang wished all candidates success as they embark on this গুরুত্বপূর্ণ stage of their educational journey.

She urged students to remain calm, focused, and disciplined throughout the examination period, emphasising that honesty and self-belief are critical to achieving success.

The Vice President also commended key stakeholders in the education sector, including the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents, and guardians, for their dedication and continued support in preparing candidates for the exams.

She further called on examination officials to uphold the highest standards of fairness, professionalism, and transparency to safeguard the credibility of the examination process.
