Anglican Diocese Of Tema Honours Ven. Anthony Eiwuley On Retirement From Ministry

The Anglican Diocese of Tema has held a special thanksgiving and farewell service in honour of Venerable Anthony Morkehchie Eiwuley following his retirement from active ministry after 24 years of priestly service.

The service, held last Sunday at Christ the King Anglican Church, brought together family members, friends, clergy, guild members, parishioners and loved ones to celebrate his contribution to the church.

Also present at the event was the Lord Bishop of Tema, Rt Rev. George Kotei Neequaye, together with diocesan officials and members of the Anglican community.

Delivering the homily, Ven. Eiwuley reflected on the words of St. Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7, saying, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

He urged Christians and church leaders to remain steadfast in their calling, committed to service and faithful to the mission of Christ despite challenges encountered in ministry.

Tributes and goodwill messages poured in from the diocese, church societies, guilds, parishioners and loved ones, many praising Ven. Eiwuley for his humility, mentorship, pastoral care and dedication to the Anglican Church.

During his 24 years of ministry, Ven. Eiwuley served in several parishes, including Holy Gabriel Anglican Church, St Nicholas Anglican Church, St Monica Anglican Church and Christ the King Anglican Church, where he served until his retirement.
