Archbishop Sarah Mullally Arrives in Ghana with a Message of Resilience and Faith

Fresh off her installation earlier this year as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally has embarked on her first official pastoral tour of Africa, making her first stop in Accra, Ghana.
Arriving at Kotoka International Airport on Saturday, July 25, Archbishop Mullally brought an uplifting message tailored for challenging times, urging Christians to anchor themselves in their faith.

“I hope people know the words of Isaiah 43 that God has called you by name and made you His own,” she shared. “It’s about encouraging people in their Christian discipleship… Christ is alongside us.”

Invited by the Most Rev. Dr. Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, Primate of the Province of West Africa, Archbishop Mullally’s 10-day itinerary features key spiritual and diplomatic engagements
On Sunday, she will preach at St. Joseph the Worker Anglican Church in Kaneshie, in a service officiated entirely by female clergy.
She will assist in laying the foundation stone for a new pilgrimage hostel part of the Heritage Anglican Culture Village project aimed at welcoming the African diaspora.
On Monday, July 27, the Archbishop is slated to meet with President John Dramani Mahama at Jubilee House before holding a prayer session with local Anglican bishops.
