NACOC Shuts Down Laboma’s Amsterdam Pub, Arrests Three in Drug Probe

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has shut down the Amsterdam Pub at Laboma in Accra and arrested three people following an intelligence-led operation over suspected narcotics-related activities at the facility.

NACOC said the operation was carried out overnight on Friday, September 4, 2026, after intelligence suggested that the entertainment venue was allegedly being used in connection with illicit drug activities.

According to a statement on Tuesday, September 8, the three suspects are currently assisting investigators as the Commission works to determine the full extent of activities allegedly taking place at the facility.
