Four Killed in Crash on Accra-Kumasi Highway

Four people have died following a road crash involving a Toyota Voxy and a MAN Diesel trailer at Anyinasin Junction on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

The fatal accident occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 28, 2026.

The Bunso Fire Station received an emergency call at 5:21 a.m. and arrived at the scene 14 minutes later with a seven-member crew.

Firefighters worked to free victims trapped in the wreckage, secured the accident scene and assisted with traffic management.

The Toyota Voxy, with registration number GR 9430-26, was completely wrecked in the collision. The MAN Diesel trailer, bearing registration number GS 4064-26, also sustained damage.

One male victim was rescued from the scene and conveyed to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical treatment.

However, four other occupants three males and one female were pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have commenced investigations to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
