Mobile Money Agent Shot in Walewale

A mobile money agent was shot in Walewale, North East Region, on Monday 12th February,2024, in the evening. The victim, known as Rabiu, was quickly taken to Walewale Government Hospital.

Reports from witnesses indicate that the attack happened at a busy bus station near the Nalerigu junction in the centre of Walewale. According to them, they saw three gunmen on motorbikes who fired warning shots before shooting the operator.

Speaking to the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Aremeyaw Somo Lucky, he confirmed the incident “I just found out about this 5 minutes ago,”. He again added that the police are searching for the attackers.
