Hon. Zenetor Rawlings has called on the Ministry of Works and Housing to desilt the Odaw River before the rain begins. She mentioned that the level of filth in the river is so high and will cause flooding in the rainy season.
In response to the urgent call, the newly appointed minister of works and housing, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says he will fix a date to visit the river with Hon. Zenetor to take a look at its current condition.
He assured the speaker that he would furnish the house with detailed information on how the issue will be tackled in two weeks.
