The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced its forthcoming event to officially outdoor its running Mate for come 2024 General Election. The occasion is slated for next week Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at the prestigious Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium, University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Accra.
The programme will be graced by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s Flag-bearer for the 2024 General Election, alongside esteemed members of the Functional Executive Committee and Council of Elders. The event will also host members of Parliament, and distinguished representatives from various sectors including the Diplomatic Corps, the Clergy, Nananom, Women Groups, Academia, Civil Society Organizations, Labour Organizations, and Creative Arts, among others.
Meanwhile, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang the proposed Running Mate will deliver an address on the NDC’s vision for a progressive, inclusive, and prosperous Ghana.

The NDC party leadership Thursday, March 7, 2024, through the Council of Elders and National Executive Committee (NEC), announced Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as the running Mate of the NDC. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, who is a former Minister of Education, partnered with former President Mahama during the 2020 election.
In a statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey to announce the confirmation, he said, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s nomination underscored the NDC’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and the empowerment of women in leadership roles.
