After rumours of the ‘Friday Night’ singer leaving Highly Spiritual Music, renowned music producer and the Chief Executive Officer of the label, Kaywa, has confirmed that the artist has indeed parted ways with the label
Kaywa revealed in an interview that there was a back-and-forth conversation about his intention to leave way before the 2023 VGMAs
The chief executive officer for the highly spiritual label, confirmed to Andy Dosty in an Interview that the VGMA New artist of the year winner has indeed left the label
He further disclosed that there is a story behind the exit of Lasmid and that would be told later.
“I’ll confirm that Lasmid has left Highly Spiritual Music. The conversation with Lasmid has been back and forth. He started asking to exit the label way before the VGMA. There’s a story behind it but I don’t think it’s appropriate to start the Lasmid conversation right now,” he said.

Winner of MTN Hitmaker season 8, Lasmid is the second artiste to part ways with the label in a span of few weeks.
The singer who got trolled on social media some weeks back for flopping on stage exited the label shortly after colleague Mr Drew took his exit after the end of his contract to explore new opportunities.
The record label started in 2017 with big names including Kurl Songx, Yaw Berk, Krymi and King Maaga, who have all exited summing up to 7 artists leaving the record label in 7years
It is becoming almost a trend where artistes who join the label exit it in a short period of time. There are so many questions popping up on Social media
as to what the cause might be.
