James Lutterodt’s death unknown – Father debunks poisoning claims

The Father of the late National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) star, James Lutterodt, has made comments indicating that the cause of his son’s death is yet to be determined.

Philip Dogbeda Lutterodt revealed that his 19-year-old son lost his life after battling with a brief illness on Monday morning at a hospital in Tema.

“He experienced difficulty breathing,” Mr Dogbeda revealed adding that they had “conducted numerous tests to identify the cause of his illness until he passed away.”

According to him, he observed that all was not well with his son when he returned home from school for vacation in April.

The heartbroken father painfully admitted that “It has been an arduous journey.”

After news surrounding James Lutterodt’s death surfaced online following a post by one Twitter user @Friggo on Monday, July 3, 2023, speculations surrounding food poisoning and poisoning surfaced.

But statements from the bereaved family go to quash such claims as the cause of Lutterodt’s death is yet to be confirmed.

Up until his demise, James who schooled at Keta Senior High School studied Computer Science at the University of Ghana, Legon.

The 19-year-old was set to travel outside the country to further his studies at Howard University until his demise. His dream was to become a web designer and web developer.
