Under the Public Financial Management Act, Minister for Finance Ken Ofori Atta will be coming Thursday, July 27, 2023, to present the mid-year review of the budget statement and economic policy of the government of Ghana for the 2023 financial year, instead of Tuesday, July,25.
Second deputy Majority Chief whip, Habib Iddrisu who presented the explanatory statement for the eighth week ending Friday, July 28, 2023, disclose the change of date including time allotments for members to make brief comments on the statements afterward.
He explained that the business committee has accordingly decided that upon the presentation by the Finance Minister, Hon. Members will be given time allotments to make brief comments whiles leadership concludes with their submissions on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
However, leadership is expected to structure the comments along these specific sectors.
Meanwhile, the August house is additionally expected to have extended sittings to ensure the business schedule for the eighth week, particularly bills are considered, before adjourning since die.
