The lifeless body of an unidentified man has been discovered in a bush at Essaman Kakraba within the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality. The grim finding occurred on the morning of August 11, 2023, near Rapaloma Bay, a recreational center situated in the community.
Curious residents who gathered at the scene expressed bewilderment at how the man could have met his demise in such an environment. Among the items discovered near the body were a black bag believed to contain his belongings and a red polythene bag.
Joseph Sam, the Unit Committee Chairman of Essaman Kakraba, recounted the events leading to the discovery. He mentioned receiving a call while en route to Damang, informing him that an individual had been found dead in the bush. The caller, not providing a name, recounted encountering a bag in the bush while gathering grass for his animals. Upon closer inspection, he spotted the body.
Sam promptly arrived at the scene to investigate, but neither he nor other onlookers could identify the deceased. Consequently, local law enforcement was informed, and the Tarkwa Police command arrived to transport the body to the morgue for further examination.
Both the black bag and red polythene bag found near the scene have been collected by the police for the purpose of conducting additional investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
