Don’t glorify violence against journalists – Ahmed Suale family to media

The family of slain journalist with Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Suale has advised journalists and media houses to be circumspect with matters of their late son.

In a statement, the family also expressed disappointment with Ghana Police Service that to date “the Police have not made any progress on the matter.”

“At minimum, we expect the Police to look into the crime of aiding and abetting, and threats of harm where there is plentiful of evidence, all of which was reported to them on a couple of occasions by Ahmed Suale.

“We caution media houses and journalists to be circumspect when dealing with the gruesome murder of their colleague and should be wary not to glorify violence against journalists on their platforms,” a spokesperson of the family, Ibrahim Kamilu Tahidu stated.

He continued: “They should also show sensitivity to the family who continues to be in pain in the face of the reticence of the State to give us justice and not allow Kennedy Agyapong to use their platforms to desecrate the memory of our beloved son, whose only crime was to work for the interest of Ghana.”
