Rev. Dr Samuel Worlanyo Mensah has officially declared his Presidential Bid to contest in the upcoming 2024 General elections as an independent Presidential candidate.
The event which came off in Accra at the University of Development Studies Guest House afforded him the opportunity to tell Ghanaians of his plans to turn around the dire economic situation in the country as well as provide solutions to the country’s unemployment problems.
During the announcement of his candidacy to run for the office of the President in the December elections, he revealed that his manifesto would be launched soon and would be followed by a series of events.
He rooted his vision in the blue economy and promised to revolutionize the aquaculture and commercial agriculture sectors. He backed them with cost-effective robot policies and a streamlined government of 40 ministers.
Dr Worlanyo Mensah believes that the Dire economic situation is self-inflicted and believes that our situation is avoidable if successive leaders of the country had harnessed the God-given resources for the benefit of the masses but not their interest.
The Economist promised to revisit the seven-year development plan of the Former President of Ghana Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and implement some of his key policies for successful Governance and to restore hope for prosperity for mother Ghana.
He also revealed that Prisoners wi receive annual allowances through Agri-businesses as pension schemes will also be redefined.
The Lecturer is a man of his own words and has over the years proven his moral integrity as a person who does not tolerate any form of conduct that could lead to corruption.
His team and supporters cheered him on as he discussed plans to create a “domestic economy” while ensuring that Ghana’s mineral and oil resources would be refined in the country and that no crude oil or gold would be imported for refining.
The astute economist opposed the abuse of political power and misuse of national resources by successive governments.
Rev.Dr Worlanyo believed in equality for all, not just a few, and pledged to lead a government that empowered citizens to determine their destiny, rather than having leaders decide whether citizens should follow them.
