The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association have voiced their support for the NPP Presidential candidate, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia for his proposal to implement a flat rate tax on spare parts imports, following his recent announcement of policies, on Wednesday 7th February 2024 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
They emphasized its potential to benefit both dealerships and consumers alike. The association, known for its neutrality in politics, commended the initiative as a visionary step towards facilitating the interests of spare parts dealerships in diverse areas. During the forum held in Accra, Dr Bawumia highlighted the party’s commitment to introducing this tax structure, signalling a potential shift in the industry’s economic landscape.
