Oman FM broadcaster passes on

Kwabena Kwakye, popularly known as Wofe KK, a broadcaster at Oman 107.1 FM has passed on this afternoon.

According to reports, he arrived at work on Wednesday morning 14th February, 2024 and was on Oman FM’s morning programme – National Agenda where he contributed by sharing his opinion about President Akufo-Addo’s ministerial reshuffle.

He is reported to have lost consciousness at work and Adoanews was informed he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital,

Wofa KK was a highly respected figure in broadcasting, known for making important involvement in Oman FM programmes.

He gained recognition for his frequent appearances as a stand-in host on television programmes such as “Boiling Point” and “National Agenda,” where he stepped in as the regular host, Fifi Boafo.

Prior to his tenure at Oman FM, Kwakye was associated with Adom 106.3 FM, a radio station under the Multimedia Group Limited. He also served in the capacity of a Parliamentary and Presidential correspondent for Net2 TV.
