Ghana does not prioritize sports – Vice President for Ghana Boxing Federation

BY: Richard Adjetey Adjei

The Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation, Dauda Fuseini, calls Ghana unserious in various sports disciplines, speaking with Isaac Mortey host of sports Xplosion.

He attributed his judgement to the lack of preparation of sporting teams and the inactivity of the government.

“The United States of America has started preparations for the 2028 Olympic Games, which will take place in Los Angeles (LA), when we are here sleeping and only show seriousness towards training six weeks before the competition,” he said.

Fuseini emphasised that should the sector ministry for sports invest funds and be proactive, especially in boxing, the boxing career of Ghana will be upgraded.
