A group called Locked-up Investment Holders Forum (LIHF) has embarked on a protest to the Bank of Ghana and the Ministry of Finance to render their displeasure regarding the delay in releasing their Locked-up funds in some four financial institutions which hold their investments.

The protest which started at the NDK premises around the Accra Sports Stadium came to a pause at the Kwame Nkrumah Museum, where leaders of the demonstrators addressed the press and subsequently went to submit their petition to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana ( BOG)

Upon return from BOG, the convenor of the group, Dr Adu Anane Antwi briefed the press on a fruitful conversation that his outfit had with the governor and his leadership.

The group further proceeded to the Ministry of Finance but were denied access into the premises, on the grounds that the ministry did not receive any notification of their action.

Displeased with the posture of the ministry, the group promised to return to the ministry next week and will subsequently protest every two weeks should their request yield no result.
