A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s communications team, Mr Philip Don Sabbah, has criticized the political leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their behaviour and statements. He said that they act like they do not live in Ghana or do not understand the reality of the country.
Mr. Sabbah has also debunked a claim made by Mr. Yaw Marvin, a member of the NPP, who stated that the NDC has been in power for 27 years. Mr. Sabbah pointed out that this is not accurate as there were periods of military rule by the PNDC.
According to him, the NPP has governed for a similar number of years as the NDC, chastising the NPP for increasing fuel prices despite having more oil fields than the NDC during their time in power.
He mentioned that fuel was sold for 3 Ghana cedis per liter during President Mahama’s era, but now it’s sold for 14 to 15 Ghana cedis per liter. He questioned why the NPP has so much oil but still increases fuel prices.
