The All Regional Games press launch was held on Tuesday, April 9, to outline plans for the competition with the main edition set for November 2024.
This competition will consist of athletes competing in nine sporting disciplines which include Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Boxing, E-sports, Arm-wrestling, Football, and Para Athletics
April 16 is set for a regional tour to start to create awareness ahead of the Games.
Sportsmen and women in each region will participate in a trial which will be conducted in June to indicate the top ones.
Selected athletes aged 18 to 23, are set to compete against their counterparts from other regions.
Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has highlighted his belief that the upcoming All Regional Games will be instrumental in discovering sporting talent across Ghana.
According to Gyan, this nationwide competition will be a significant step towards unearthing the next generation of Ghanaian athletes therefore we should make it a successful one that our next generation will benefit from.
