ASANTE KOTOKO ANGRY FANS STORM TRAINING FIELD TO DEMAND SACKING OF COACH

The furious fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko prevented head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and his squad from accessing the Club’s training ground in Adako Jachie on Tuesday, April 16, intensifying tensions within the club.

Frustrated by a string of disappointing results in the Ghana Premier League, the angry fans disrupted the team’s regular training session.

As the Porcupine Warriors plummeted to 11th on the league table with seven defeats in nine matches, their once-strong position in the top half was surrendered to rivals Hearts of Oak.

The dissatisfaction supporters clamoured for the ousting of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and his coaching staff, citing the team’s dull performance as grounds for their demand.

The club is yet to release an official statement on the incident that transpired at the Adako Jachie in Kumasi.

Kotoko will take on league leaders Samartex 1996 in their upcoming fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 21.
