Ghana will collapse if schools, hospitals belonging to churches disappear – Bawumia

The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to prioritize the needs of the church if elected as president of Ghana.

He acknowledged the significant contributions of the church and other faith-based organizations to national development, emphasizing the importance of supporting them.

He pointed out that without the educational and healthcare institutions, and other developmental initiatives established by the church, the nation would struggle to sustain itself, making this a critical issue for him.

Dr. Bawumia noted that he is committed to partnering with churches and other faith-based organizations to meet their needs and enhance cooperation with the government.

“I said that the church and faith-based organizations are the foremost development partners of the government. Why do I say so? Look at the number of schools the churches have built. Look at the number of hospitals the churches have built. Look at the number of universities the churches and faith-based organizations have built. Consider the number of people the churches and faith-based organizations support daily.

“Imagine for a moment that you wake up tomorrow and all the schools, universities, and hospitals built by the churches have disappeared. What would Ghana be like? Ghana would collapse, wouldn’t it? We wouldn’t survive in such a scenario because there would be chaos,” he stated in a video.
