AFRICAN AMPUTEE CUP OF NATIONS: GHANA BEAT GAMBIA IN OPENING FIXTURE

Ghana’s Black Challenge team kicked off their African Amputee Cup of Nations campaign with a commanding four zero win over Gambia.

Goals from Hamza Mohammed, Yussif Yahaya, and a brave from Mubarak Mohammed gave Ghana the three maximum points over their counterpart with Mubarak Mohammed winning the most valuable player

6 African teams will be vying for top honours in Cairo this year and it will also decide which teams will qualify for the World Amputee Football Federation Cup in 2026.

The Accra 2023 1st African Para Games champions are confident in their ability to defend the trophy and qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Ghana’s Black Challenge won 2021 AFCON in Tanzania and were champions in 2023. Victory for them will see them at the next Amputee Football World Cup.

The Black Challenge left Ghana for Egypt last Saturday in grand style with all twenty five players and the technical team donning the appropriate Accra 2023 African Games attire for the cup of Nations

Ghana are in Group C with Kenya, Gambia and Algeria

Ghana will face North African Side Algeria in their second group fixture tonight.
