NDC Accuses Attorney-General of Courtroom Manipulation Over Ambulance Trial

By: Ruth Tang

The opposition National Democratic Congress has accused Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame of manipulating court proceedings to incriminate the leader of their party’s Caucus in Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

During the trial on May 23rd, witness Richard Jakpa testified that Godfred Dame pressured him to alter his testimony against Ato Forson. The NDC condemns this as persecution by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia NPP government.

Richard Jakpa’s testimony, recorded in court, reveals alleged clandestine meetings and phone calls between him and Godfred Dame to influence his testimony against the NDC leader. The NDC claims this is a clear indication of the Attorney General’s devious tactics and the government’s desperation to discredit political opponents.

The NDC asserts that the revelation confirms their long-held suspicions about Dame’s integrity and the government’s willingness to manipulate judicial processes for political gain.
