Communications lead for the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has called on Ghanaians not to fall for propaganda by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, the NDC adopted the approach they used in 2008 when they threw dust into the eyes of the good people of Ghana just to be handed power because the John Agyekum Kufour government was faced with a crisis.
“In 2008 after Kufour’s government was faced with fuel shortage, and water scarcity among others, the NDC like they are doing today threw dust into the eyes of the good people of Ghana. They made it look as if the NPP government then did not do anything for the country.
Their current General Secretary then published in his newspaper that the Kufour administration had stolen all of Ghana’s gold reserves at the Bank of Ghana. After all the propaganda, the people of Ghana voted the NPP out.
If you look at what they did in 2008 and what they are doing this year, there is no difference because they are the same group of people. The point here is this, we are not saying you’ll have it 100% as a leader. However, our point is that a good leader will stick his neck out for their people and that is what we are presenting to the people of Ghana,” he said.
