Private Legal Practitioner, Gary Nimako is of the view that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wants to cajole the Attorney General into ending the prosecution of persons involved in the ambulance case.
He notes that currently in Ghana, the best way to make light of an issue is to involve politics and that is what the NDC is seeking to achieve in the matter involving the State, Cassiel Ato Forson and others.
I’ve listened to Tamakloe and I think they are in court, why the Press conference? Why are they on the radio? Is the Press conference in the court? Or is it meant to cajole the A-G to do something? I’m struggling to understand the dynamics they are using,” he said.
He continued “Kwame do you know something? In this country if there is an issue and you want to make light of the case just involve politics. Just make it an NPP, or NDC affair and forget about the real issues. That is how I can understand what they are doing”.
The NDC is set to release what they describe as damning evidence against the Attorney General who has been accused of telling one of the accused Richard Jakpa to skew his testimony to incriminate the Minority leader, Cassiel Ato Forson.
The Attorney General has denied ever meeting Richard Jakpa for this purpose and insists it is an attempt by the NDC to get him to drop the case.
